A Guide to the Chain Lakes Loop: Mount Baker's Most Rewarding Beginner Backpacking Trip

Mount Baker on one side, Mount Shuksan on the other, alpine lakes in between — and I still haven't gotten tired of this loop after five trips.

One of the most iconic loops in Washington: Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan, and a string of alpine lakes in between. I've hiked it four or five times now and it still doesn't get old.
